Today's Nudge

The small push that gets the day going — written down before the morning forgets it.

I am Sara, and I live in Clementi. I started DailyPush because I kept noticing the same thing: the day only really begins after one small movement — the first kopi poured, the shoes tied, the lift button pressed. This site is my notebook for those moments. Not advice, not a programme — just honest entries about ordinary mornings, walks, and the little nudge that keeps me going when I would rather stay put.

About me, briefly. I work from home most days, which sounds peaceful until the afternoon slump arrives without warning. Writing here is how I mark the small pushes — the walk I almost skipped, the neighbour I finally greeted, the curry puff I shared with a bold mynah. If you like slow, specific stories from Singapore life, you are in the right place.

Before the inbox wins

A corner of the flat where the morning still belongs to me.

A cup of kopi and a notebook on a kitchen table near Clementi
The table by the window — where most entries start.

I write these entries in the gap between waking up and opening my laptop. Clementi is quiet then: the corridor lights still on, someone downstairs starting a rice cooker, the faint smell of incense from a unit I have never visited but always notice. The push I mean is never dramatic. It is the decision to stand up when the pillow still has a case to make, to walk to the kopitiam when the kettle would be faster, to send the message I have been drafting in my head for three days.

DailyPush is not a company and not a coaching brand. I have no courses to sell and no secret formula. I am one person with a flat near the MRT, a favourite hawker stall, and a habit of paying attention when the day tries to slip past unnoticed. Some entries are about food. Some are about walks along the park connector towards Ulu Pandan. One is a silly list of neighbourhood "crimes" that are not crimes at all. They all share the same question: what got me moving today?

If that sounds like something you would read on the bus home, pull up a chair — metaphorically, or at your own kitchen table. The journal below is newest first. Pick any card and stay as long as you like.
